Frosted Grid Bracelet
925 Sterling Silver·21.8g
$450.00 AUD
The Piece
The Frosted Grid Bracelet alternates raised pyramid links with narrow rows of cubic zirconia. It weighs 21.8 grams in solid 925 sterling silver, made at 7 inches only. Each pyramid is polished on four faces, so most of what the band shows is silver, and the stones read as lines running across it.
At 18cm this is the closest fit CRESTSIDE lists and it will not go over a larger wrist. The Ice Trap Bracelet puts the same stones on its clasp instead, at 22.8 grams and 21cm.
A workshop in Turkey made this bracelet. It reached Melbourne through a wholesaler in Rajasthan. It carries the maker's 925 stamp and was torch-tested by hand before finishing.
The face
The band repeats in two parts. A pyramid link, four sided and polished, then a narrow bar carrying a row of small cubic zirconia, then the next pyramid. The rows sit across the width of the band rather than along its length, so the stones break the silver into bands of light instead of covering it.
Cubic zirconia is a synthetic stone. It is harder than glass, 8 on the Mohs scale against about 5.5, and it is not diamond. It scratches and clouds with wear. The stones here sit in narrow settings where dust collects, so this band wants a dry soft brush more often than it wants polish.
Fit
One size, 7 inches, which is 18cm end to end with the clasp closed. It wears close on a wrist of 6 to 6.5 inches.
Measure before you buy. Wrap a soft tape measure or a strip of paper around your wrist just below the bone and read the number where it meets. An 18cm bracelet on a 16cm wrist leaves 2cm.
There is no second size and it will not go over a larger wrist. If you measure above 17cm, the Ice Trap Bracelet at 21cm or the Nocturne Lock Bracelet at 23cm will fit where this one will not.
The silver
Solid 925 sterling silver, 92.5 per cent silver with 7.5 per cent alloy. The 925 mark is stamped by the maker, and the piece was torch-tested by hand in Melbourne before finishing.
The bracelet carries an anti-tarnish finish, so it holds its brightness far longer than bare sterling. That finish is not permanent. Once it wears, the 925 underneath darkens the way sterling does, first in the recesses around the stones where a cloth reaches last. Routine care is a soft dry cloth, with a dry brush along the stone rows. Keep a polishing cloth for after the finish has worn, because it is abrasive and lifts the finish with the tarnish. Plated jewellery is a different thing entirely: its surface wears through to base metal and does not come back. The Is It Real page covers how to tell the two apart.

Care
Every piece carries an anti-tarnish finish, so it holds its brightness far longer than bare sterling.
- Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing
- Keep away from perfume, sunscreen, chlorine and saltwater
- Store in the velvet box, away from other pieces, so nothing scratches
- Take it off before the shower, the pool and the gym
The finish is not permanent. It wears with time and contact, and the solid 925 underneath then darkens the way sterling does. Save the silver polishing cloth for that stage. Used routinely, it is abrasive enough to lift the finish along with the tarnish.
